Parans participates at a United Nations meeting on Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) in Stockholm.
This meeting was the third International Expert Meeting of The 10-Year
Framework of the Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production
(SCP), also known as the Marrakech Process. Behind the initiative- and
leading agencies are United Nations Department of Economic and Social
Affairs (UNDESA) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
It is a global process to support regional and national initiatives to
promote sustainable consumption and production patterns. The meeting
took place at Djurönäset in Stockholm on June 26 this year.
The Parans system was received with great enthusiasm within the expert
group. They recognize that all sources of energy consumption must be
scrutinized and questioned. In the sustainable society, it is therefore
obvious to question artificial lighting, that is typically responsible
for 40-50% of a building's energy consumption. Here, the Parans system
can make a small contribution towards a zero-carbon life pattern.
