California Lighting Technology Center (”CLTC”), a part of the University of California Davis, also
reputable, is a non-profit research, development and demonstration facility dedicated to, among others, accelerating the development and commercialization of energy-efficient lighting and daylighting technologies. With CLTC, as a well-established and well-known research institute, purchasing the Parans system for testing, Parans receives an objective national evaluation of the system's performance. The tests will give the Parans system high credibility in the Californian market, which is relevant for Parans as it is one of the focus markets. In addition, there are several stakeholders who have requested the CLTC evaluation: companies that are interested in buying Parans systems as soon as the tests are completed. Thus, CLTC’s order can have a great impact on sales in the US market. The installation and thus the commencement of the tests, are expected to take place during the first quarter of 2020.
- It is really good that a well-known research center as CLTC has noticed our system and based on their initial evaluation considered it so interesting that they now choose to buy the system to test it, says Anders Koritz, CEO of Parans. We see several benefits: we will get results from a credible institute, there is concrete potential in increased sales and it will strengthen our position and provide even better conditions for the distributor that will be established after the US partner search is completed via Business Sweden.
